Three Unanimous Picks Headline Laval Harness Racing Wednesday Card
Equidia's ten expert teams unanimously back three horses across Wednesday's eight-race card at Laval.
Milord du Lupin draws post 8 in Race 1 at Laval on Wednesday, August 19, and he is not alone in commanding unanimous expert support. Two other runners, Noche Bella Griff and Melodica Bella, have also earned perfect 100-point consensus scores from Equidia's ten analyst teams across the full eight-race harness card.
Kevin Baudon authored the collective analyses, published by Equidia on August 18, 2026, covering all eight races through ten journalist-expert pairings. The complete selections are available at www.equidia.fr/articles/pour-preparer-vos-paris/les-pronostics-des-experts-pour-la-reunion-1-a-laval-ce-mercredi-19-aout and also accessible via pmu.fr.
Milord du Lupin opens the card in Race 1, the Prix de Ségré, with a 14:23 post time. Noche Bella Griff, also drawn in post 8, lines up in Race 3, the Prix de Châteaumeillant, at 15:33. Melodica Bella, starting from post 15, anchors Race 5, the Prix d'Aurillac, at 16:53. The day's feature is the Quinté+, contested in Race 8, the final race of the card, departing at 18:45.
The internal competition between analyst teams runs on a structured scoring matrix. One point is awarded when the first-selected horse wins. Two points are credited if the first selection wins and the second finishes second. If the second horse wins while the first finishes second, the team retains one point. That same one-point award applies if the first horse is declared a non-starter and the second wins.
Each team designates one selection as its winning pick among all retained horses. Should that horse win, the team accumulates bonus points equal to the combined PMU Simple Win and PMU Simple Place payoffs. A placed but non-winning selection yields only the PMU Simple Place payout.
The ruleset also includes an exploit bonus: if a team is the sole analyst to have selected a winning horse or winning combination in any race, that team's point total for that race doubles. This provision rewards original analysis that diverges from consensus positioning, and it creates a genuine countervailing incentive across every race.
By contrast, the three unanimous picks represent rare alignment among competing teams. Two pairings are highlighted for their winning selections on this card: D. Madar and J. Quoniam, alongside F. Boersch and M. Bridault. The overall standings update following each race day, with the prior card having run Tuesday, August 18, 2026.
Harness racing's inherent volatility means unanimous backing carries no guarantee of execution. The exploit bonus structure typically produces at least one upset across an eight-race card, and Wednesday's results will reveal whether the ten teams' collective judgment on Milord du Lupin, Noche Bella Griff, and Melodica Bella holds, or whether a single contrarian call turns out to be the day's most valuable one.
